Pull-Apart Gluten-Free Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • cups gluten-free all-purpose flour blend with xanthan gum
  • teaspoons instant yeast 1 packet
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk dairy-free if needed
  • ¼ cup melted butter or dairy-free butter
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar optional

Instructions
 

  • Warm milk until just warm, not hot
  • Stir in sugar and yeast; let sit 5–7 minutes until foamy
  • In a large bowl, mix gluten-free flour and salt
  • Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg; mix until smooth and thick
  • Stir in honey and apple cider vinegar if using
  • Grease a 9-inch baking dish
  • Scoop dough with a greased spoon or scoop and place rolls close together
  • Cover loosely and let rise 45–60 minutes until puffy
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes until lightly golden
  • Brush warm rolls with melted butter
  • Rest 10 minutes before serving

Notes

Dough should be sticky; do not add extra flour
Use a flour blend that already contains xanthan gum
Rolls will rise slightly, not double like wheat dough
Best served warm for the softest texture
