Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups rolled oats old-fashioned oats work best
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter unsalted, xylitol-free
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce or mashed banana
  • 2 tablespoons honey optional, for binding and natural sweetness
  • ¼ cup water add as needed to help bind
  • Substitutions
  • Nut butter alternative: Use almond butter or sunflower seed butter if your dog can’t have peanuts.
  • Grain-free: Replace oats with coconut flour or almond flour adjust liquid as needed.
  • Extra nutrition: Add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia seeds.

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, applesauce (or banana), and honey. Stir until smooth.
  • Add Oats: Gradually stir in rolled oats until the mixture is thick and well combined.
  • Adjust Consistency: If too dry, add a splash of water. If too sticky, add more oats.
  • Shape the Treats: Scoop small spoonfuls and roll into bite-sized balls, or press into silicone molds for fun shapes.
  • Chill: Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
