- 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt or to taste
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder optional
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: 1 tsp balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Optional: 1 tbsp toasted pine nuts for garnish
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Trim ends and remove any yellow or damaged leaves.
Slice Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
Step 2: Season
Toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using) until evenly coated.
Step 3: Roast
Spread sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Roast 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway, until edges are golden brown and crispy.
Step 4: Add Parmesan
Sprinkle grated Parmesan over hot sprouts.
Return to oven for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts and turns golden.
Step 5: Serve
Optionally drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with pine nuts.
