One-Pan Mushroom Chicken Magic

Tender chicken simmered in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce for a luxurious dinner made in one skillet. Elegant, comforting, and ready with minimal effort.

Ingredients
  

  • Chicken
  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Mushroom Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or thyme + parsley
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • Salt & pepper
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Pat chicken dry and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat oil and butter in a skillet; sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden. Remove.
  • Add butter; sauté mushrooms until browned and moisture evaporates. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning and Dijon. Deglaze with broth, scraping browned bits.
  • Add cream and Parmesan; simmer gently until slightly thickened.
  • Return chicken to skillet; simmer on low 10–12 minutes until tender and sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with parsley; spoon sauce over and serve hot.

Notes

Browning mushrooms well deepens flavor
Chicken thighs stay extra juicy
Keep heat low to prevent sauce from breaking
Add spinach, bacon, or sun-dried tomatoes for variations
