Homemade Pumpkin & Oatmeal Dog Snack Sticks

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pure pumpkin purée not pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil melted
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter optional, xylitol-free
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 –2 tablespoons water as needed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Pulse rolled oats in a food processor until coarse flour forms
  • In a bowl, mix pumpkin purée, egg, melted coconut oil, and peanut butter until smooth
  • Stir in ground oats until a thick dough forms
  • Add water 1 tablespoon at a time if dough is crumbly
  • Roll dough into 4–5 inch stick shapes and place on baking sheet
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through
  • For firmer sticks, bake an extra 5–10 minutes at 300°F
  • Cool completely before serving
