Homemade Dog Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken or beef broth homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour or oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil unsalted butter, or coconut oil
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon finely chopped cooked vegetables carrots, peas, green beans

Instructions
 

  • Heat broth in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • In another small pan, heat oil or butter, stir in flour gradually, and cook 1–2 minutes to remove raw taste.
  • Slowly whisk the flour mixture into the broth.
  • Cook 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
  • Stir in finely chopped cooked vegetables if using.
  • Allow gravy to cool slightly before serving over kibble, cooked meat, or homemade dog food.

Notes

Adjust thickness: Add more flour to thicken or more broth to thin.
Flavor boost: Use unsalted bone broth for richer taste.
Safe veggies: Carrots, peas, or green beans are nutritious additions.
Avoid onion, garlic, salt, or harmful seasonings.
Substitutions
Flour: Use oat flour for gluten-free.
Broth: Unsalted vegetable broth for sensitive dogs.
Fat: Coconut oil instead of butter or olive oil.
