Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Roll

Ingredients
  

  • Dough
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk not hot
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • Cinnamon Filling
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • Sticky Glaze
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine warm milk and sugar in a bowl, sprinkle yeast on top, and let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Mix and knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Roll dough into a large rectangle about ¼-inch thick and spread softened butter over it.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly across the surface.
  • Roll tightly into a log and slice into 1-inch rolls.
  • Arrange in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–22 minutes until lightly golden and soft.
  • Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth.
  • Drizzle or brush glaze over warm rolls.

Notes

Do not overbake; rolls should remain soft and light.
Glaze while warm for the signature sticky finish.
Roll tightly for defined swirls.
Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or freeze unglazed rolls up to 2 months.
