Dash My Mug Protein Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 scoop protein powder vanilla recommended
  • ½ cup frozen fruit banana, strawberries, or mango
  • ¼ cup milk or milk alternative almond, oat, skim, or lactose-free
  • 1 –2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sweetener to taste stevia, monk fruit, or honey
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 2 –3 ice cubes for thicker texture

Instructions
 

  • Add protein powder, frozen fruit, milk, and yogurt or cottage cheese to a blender or food processor
  • Blend on high until thick and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed
  • Add ice cubes or extra frozen fruit if the mixture is too thin
  • Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if the mixture is too thick
  • Blend again briefly until smooth and spoonable
  • Transfer to a mug or bowl and serve immediately

Notes

Use frozen fruit for the best ice-cream-like texture
Start with less liquid and add gradually to avoid melting
A high-powered blender gives the creamiest result
Best enjoyed immediately; freezing changes texture
Flavor depends heavily on the quality of protein powder used
