2filet mignon steaks6–8 oz each, 1½–2 inches thick
1tablespoonolive oil or avocado oil
1teaspoonkosher salt
½teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
½teaspoongarlic powderoptional
½teaspoonsmoked paprikaoptional
1tablespoonbutteroptional, for finishing
Fresh rosemary or thymeoptional
1teaspoonminced garlicoptional
Instructions
Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking
Pat steaks completely dry with paper towels
Brush both sides with oil
Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder or smoked paprika
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 3–5 minutes
Place steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket
Cook for 5–6 minutes
Flip steaks
Cook another 4–8 minutes until desired doneness
Remove steaks from air fryer
Top with butter, herbs, and garlic if using
Loosely tent with foil
Rest for 5 minutes before serving
